The Jesus Film – Free Prayer Resources
Our Scripture today is found in Romans 1:16, For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.
More and more we are discovering there is great power in partnering with other ministries in spreading the Prayer Covenant for Children. We are especially delighted with our unfolding partnership with The Jesus Film, a ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. They have produced a full-length film version of the Gospel of Luke, which they have translated into over a thousand languages and created video backpacks that can be carried into even the most remote villages.
I shared with our readers earlier last fall about the way our leader in Nigeria, Rev. Apollos Agamalafiya, was using The Jesus Film and following up each showing by introducing the children’s prayer cards. Our national leader for Burkina Faso, Fidele Zouma, received three backpacks of The Jesus Film for his country in December and immediately began showing the film.
Fidele wrote me with great excitement, “God is so good, I just called the Director of a school and asked if I can come and share The Jesus Film. She was very happy to receive me.”
Shortly afterward he wrote again, “I just returned and more than 400 children were present! When I asked them, ‘How was the film?’ they replied, ‘Very good!’ After watching the film, 200 children made decisions to receive Jesus.”
He continued, “I asked the children, ‘How can you stay a good Christian like Jesus wants you to be?’ They answered, ‘By prayer.’ I then gave all of them Prayer Covenant cards and booklets, so they have guidance in how to pray.”
I praise God for Fidele. He is a wonderful ministry partner. He is the National Children’s Ministry Leader for the Assembly of God denomination in Burkina Faso and has trained thousands of leaders in using the Prayer Covenant for children.
We celebrate the gift of over 50 backpacks to our leaders throughout Africa and the way God is using them to evangelize men, women and children in the cities and villages. What a joy it is for our leaders to see many come to Christ and be able to disciple them with prayer covenant resources so they can grow in their newfound faith in Jesus.

Thank you for the wonderful ministry of the Jesus Film and Campus Crusade for Christ. Thank you for the use of video and film to reach countless with the gospel. Thank you for the ministry of Fidele in Burkina Faso. Bless all the leaders that he has trained in the use of the Kids’ Prayer Covenant. May they faithfully reach out to the children around them with the ministry of prayer and discipleship. Thank you for the 200 children that recently responded to the offer of the gospel.
